My favorite hunt of all, unfortunately, turned out to be the last for my dad, Lenny, and me. Our favorite rifle is the 300 Win Mag I picked up online at the NRA store. The best sporting goods store in Oregon is the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Castile.
There is a new edition of my new Savage Model 40 with the American walnut chambered in 7 Mag and 300 Win Mag. My friends and I like the 7 Mag best for deer hunting. My favorite caliber is a tossup between the 300 Win Mag and 7 Mag.
I ordered my Savage Model 40 in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Castile, Oregon. My best friends' favorite gun shop in Castile has a Savage Model 40 for $199.
The best all around caliber I own is probably the 300 Win Mag from Bass Pro Shops in Castile. One thing I don't like is that huge amounts of power are required to accelerate 7 Mag projectiles to such speeds.
