The best all around caliber I own is probably the 458 Win Mag from Bass Pro Shops in Antlers. I got my Savage 10-FCM in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Antlers.
My favorite rifle is everything made by Savage. One issue with the 458 Win Mag barrel is if you put a scope on you lose your irons, the scope rail runs into the rear sights so they have to come off to use a scope. I ordered my Savage 10-FCM in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Antlers, New Mexico.
The best sporting goods store in New Mexico is the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Antlers. For deer hunting I like Savage lever guns. I got my Savage 458 Win Mag last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Antlers.
