Weatherby Vanguard Sporter 458 Win Magnum Review
Gregg Farrow - Crompond, Oklahoma
Lowell got his Weatherby last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Bell Hill. I got my Weatherby in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Bell Hill, Oklahoma. My Dad's favorite caliber for deer and larger game is 7.62 mm and the best all around caliber for small and medium game is 458 Win Magnum. My all-time favorite rifle is the Weatherby Vanguard Sporter I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Bell Hill. My grandfather bought it at a pawn shop in Bell Hill so I don't know if Hedy would take it back or repair it. My second favorite caliber here in Alaska for the all game is the 7.62 mm. My favorite gun shop in Bell Hill has a Weatherby Vanguard Sporter for $199. I got my Weatherby 7.62 mm at the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Bell Hill. The best all around caliber I own is probably the 7.62 mm from Bass Pro Shops in Bell Hill. The best hunting trip was for pronghorn antelope in Wyoming, but my favorite trip was fishing in Alaska. One thing I don't like with shooting a ported 7.62 mm barrel is the increase in muzzle blast. There is a new edition of my new Weatherby Vanguard Sporter with the birchwood chambered in 458 Win Magnum and 7.62 mm. My friends and I like the 458 Win Magnum best for deer hunting. I picked up my Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Bell Hill. Our favorite rifle is the 7.62 mm I picked up online at the NRA store. For deer hunting I like the birchwood stock for the woods. My mom got her 7.62 mm online at Cabelas. My most favorite rifle is everything made by Weatherby. My dad said his favorite caliber is the 7.62 mm he got at a NWTF banquet last season.
